Welcome to EntreCom Enterprise Community!

Below you will find the GTC governing the use of www.entre-oulu.com website.

 

Entre#Oulu is a project run by EntreCom Enterprise Community OY. This project is focused on community building, informational, educational and employment support for the international community in the region. However, we don’t put any limitations based on the user’s physical location and nationality. If you are interested in remote work or would like to relocate to Northern Osthrobotnia and Oulu for work or study, looking for clients and partners in that region, you are welcome to join the community!

 

These terms may be updated from time to time in the future. You agree to review our Terms and Conditions regularly by visiting this page. Your continued access to or use of the service will mean that you agree to the changes. You will be notified of any significant changes to our Terms and Conditions.

Services

Membership subscription for employment, promotion and networking purposes.

​

Users who want to take advantage of the services have the option to register for a paid membership and choose the duration: 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months. The duration of the membership means that during these periods of time, the information about the user will be displayed on our website, the user will have the access to the private chat and can contact Entre#Oulu team for receiving a consultation.

 

EntreCom Enterprise Community OY provides the user with an internet platform that allows the user to establish contact and share information with other users. Our team can also match the users with each other if we receive such a request. Matchmaking can cover profiles with similar interests, job seekers and employers, mentors and mentees, but will not sell or advertise your services or products if there was no such additional service agreement between the user and EntreCom Enterprise Community.

 

The members are automatically signed into the Telegram chat, where will be provided information about open working, volunteering and internship positions for international talents in the Oulu region. The member is free to join or leave the chat at any time but should not share the information from the private chat with any third parties.

EntreCom Enterprise Community reserves the right to modify the services or to offer services different from those offered at the time of the user’s registration at any time provided such modifications are based on good reason and not unreasonable for the user. 

The user understands that it is technically impossible to offer or guarantee a 100% availability without unplanned interruption. Disruptions in public communication networks, power failures, etc., may cause temporary interruptions or other failures of the services.

Membership application

​

  1. When we receive a Membership application, we will confirm this by email and send you further instructions. The provisions of these Terms and Conditions shall govern our agreement with you. We reserve the right, at our discretion, not to accept an application from the people who are suspected to be involved in an illegal business, economic fraud, scam, and other sorts of potentially dangerous manipulations for our community members. No charge will be made for declined applications.

  1. If the user will be suspected of any illegal activities or if we receive alerts from other community members, your membership will be immediately cancelled without refund. 

  2. If the user will show any racist or sexist attitude towards others

  3. If the user’s actions and activities may impair the reputation of EntreCom Enterprise Community, we will terminate the agreement and are entitled to

  • Send a notice to the user detailing the cause 

  • Block and delete your profile

  • Delete all other information provided by you on our website, comments and chats

If the user has terminated the agreement and we will need to delete the profile, the user cannot claim reimbursement of any advance payments.

​

2. The Member guarantees that the information provided to EntreCom Enterprise Community is relevant and truthful. The Member should not use pseudonyms or any misleading information. EntreCom Enterprise Community can request to provide academic certificates or recommendation letters from the previous working places to verify the trustworthiness of the information.

The member should provide any major updates in his profile information (for example employment status, residency, and contact information).

Limitation of liability

​

EntreCom Enterprise Community OY provides its services at an affordable cost. Its liability to you is limited to the fees collected from you.

​

Exclusion of liability for loss caused by others

​

EntreCom Enterprise Community OY will not be liable if such losses, penalties, surcharges, interest or additional tax liabilities are due to the acts or omissions of any other person or due to the provision to it of incomplete, misleading or false information or if they are due to a failure to act on its advice or a failure to provide it with relevant information.

Exclusion of liability in relation to circumstances beyond our control EntreCom Enterprise Community OY will not be liable to the user for any delay or failure to perform its obligations if the delay or failure is caused by circumstances outside its control.

Exclusion of liability relating to the discovery of fraud etc.

EntreCom Enterprise Community OY will not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage or expense incurred or sustained if information material to the service it is providing is withheld or concealed from it or misrepresented to it. This applies equally to fraudulent acts, misrepresentation or willful default on the part of any party to the transaction and their directors, officers, employees, agents or advisers.

EntreCom Enterprise Community OY provides the links to Member’s social media and other contact information only after we will receive your agreement for that. We provide the technical opportunity for communication and interaction for our Members and visitors of the website.

​

Each user is solely responsible for his/her behavior and his/her interaction with other users. EntreCom Enterprise Community OY conducts a background check of its users and verifies any statement from its users. However, we will not be liable for any user’s behaviour and interaction with other users.

​

Limitation of Third Party Rights

​

The advice and information provided by EntreCom Enterprise Community OY to you as part of the service is for your sole use and not for any third party to whom you may communicate it unless we have expressly agreed that a specified third party may rely on our work. No responsibility is accepted to third parties, for any advice, information or material produced as part of their work for you, which you make available to them.

 

Profile information

Membership service includes publishing information about you on our Community page. All information on our website is posted by EntreCom Enterprise Community staff. You will not have the access to modify this information by yourself. All information that is posted publicly is provided by you, agreed in advance, and can be modified upon request. License

​

You are granted a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. If you choose to give another party access to your account you do so at your own risk and you shall remain primarily liable to EntreCom Enterprise Community OY for complying with these Terms of Conditions for the use of the Service.

​

Fees and Payment Terms

​

A subscription fee will be charged as per the plans mentioned on the pricing page. We strictly comply with the laws of Finland and all applicable taxes are included in the price.

​

EntreCom Enterprise Community OY will not automatically extend the membership and, therefore, will not charge any payments without your agreement to prolong the membership.

​

The user should be aware of the fact that in case of online payments any data (e.g. name, credit card number, expiry date, bank details, etc.) which is necessary for the due processing of such payment will be transferred to third parties involved in the execution of the debiting procedure (e.g. operator of payment module, credit card acquirer, and the bank issuing the credit/debit card).

 

The user shall not 

​

  • disobey any requirements, procedures, policies, or regulations set up for the use of our services; 

  • overwrite, modify, or copy any contents on EntreCom Enterprise Community website without our approval.

 

Non-payment

​

We shall be under no obligation to provide the Service if the subscription fee is not paid to us on time. The Client must ensure that we have complete and accurate billing and contact information throughout the subscription period, including the full name of the Client, its business address, and a billing contact email address. 

​

Cancellation

​

You can close the account at any time by contacting us on support@entre-oulu.com. No further subscription fees will be billed and no refund will be made of any subscription fees already billed and paid. You are eligible for refund only during first 14 days of the registration. In that case, you will have to provide a convincing reason for cancellation. EntreCom Enterprise Community OY will use the same payment method which the user used to purchase the services under the cancelled contract save as otherwise agreed with the user; in no conditions we will claim any fees for the return of payment.
 

Prohibited Use

​

Except as otherwise permitted under this Agreement, you shall not: a) remove or alter the conditions of use, any copyright notices and other identification disclaimers as they may appear on the website, or in any print format; b) provide by electronic means to any person other than an authorized user any content; c) alter or change any part of the content.

Ownership

​

The legal and beneficial interest in all copyrights, patents, trade marks, service marks, design rights (whether registered or unregistered), database rights, proprietary information rights and all other proprietary rights as may exist anywhere in the world together with applications associated with any such rights (“Intellectual Property Rights”) relating to the Service belong to us at all times. You obtain no ownership rights in the Service or any of the Intellectual Property Rights pursuant to or arising out of this Agreement. The User has sole responsibility for the provision of accurate and reliable data. The Client retains ownership of any Intellectual Property Rights it has in your Data (such as rights in its logo) Intellectual Property Rights in your Data will not be transferred to us. We will only use your Data to provide the Service.

Electronic and Other Communication

​

We will communicate with you and with third parties via email or by other electronic means, unless another method is more appropriate. You will be responsible for virus checking emails and any attachments. With electronic communication, there is a risk of non-receipt, delayed receipt, inadvertent misdirection or interception by third parties. 

​

Retention of and Access to Records

​

All personal information about our clients and members are safely stored in the cloud. More information about the Privacy Policy can be found here. We will keep the records as long as it is required by the membership subscription and other agreements between Client and EntreCom Enterprise Community OY. After the obligations are fulfilled or the chosen membership period ends, the personal data will be permanently deleted from the database. Extension of the membership will require updating the information and submit the payment for a new duration.

Privacy:

​

EntreCom Enterprise Community OY acknowledges that any personal data provided by the user to us is extremely important to the user. EntreCom Enterprise Community OY shall comply with all applicable legal provisions regarding data protection (Finnish Data Protection Laws, European Data Protection Directives, and any other applicable data protection legislation). In particular, EntreCom Enterprise Community OY  shall not provide or otherwise disclose any personal data of the user to any third party without consent, unless it is required by the statutory applicable law to reveal the data to third parties, in particular government or regulatory bodies, or if the transfer of data is necessary for the operation of debiting procedures.

Photo and Video elements on the site

​

The user hereby acknowledges the right of EntreCom Enterprise Community to publish any photographs or film footage taken by our photographers for the articles or at the events of our clients and partners published on our website and social media. If the user wants their photograph not to be published, the user must clearly express this wish to the photographer. Should the user wish to remove a photograph already published on the website, the user must contact us by email: support@entre-oulu.com

Content Disclaimer


To the best of our knowledge, all information in articles on EntreCom Enterprise Community Websites published by our authors is accurate and up-to-date at the time of publication.
